Planning for your conservatory

For Lankesters Conservatories, erecting conservatories is an everyday procedure and we are committed to making each step of the process a trouble free experience for you.

We are, however, aware that for many of our customers, adding a conservatory can be a new experience. We will contact our customers so they know exactly what to expect on each of the stages from groundwork to the installation of your conservatory.

Planning
Before any construction work begins it is important that we check with your local planning department as to whether your conservatory will require planning permission or building regulations. In most cases you will be exempt unless:

The Survey
Every order requires a site survey to take technical measurements and to check the site for any potential and visible components.

Our surveyor will go through every detail of your contract to ensure everything you need and expect is clearly written down before the survey is passed to production for processing.

The Groundwork
With planning in place, and manufacturing in process, your conservatory base work will be scheduled.

The builders will remain on site, unless the weather proves unsuitable, until the base is prepared and ready for the erection of the frames and roof.

The Installation
On the agreed date, once the base has had time to cure, the conservatory installers will put up the framework.

The conservatory doors and windows will be erected then the roof will be constructed and fitted. All the products will then be glazed and trimmed.

If we are installing your electrics, they will be carried out.

The Finishing Touches
At this point there may be other trades involved such as electricians, plasterers, and. The relevant tradesmen will already have been scheduled to visit your property in order to complete the installation promptly.

Once this is completed your site forman will carry out a final check on all completed works to ensure that you are fully satisfied with your Lankesters Conservatory.

From then on the conservatory is yours to enjoy and we are confident it will bring you and your family many years of pleasure.
